Patient Services
| At Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital, we believe each patient is unique. That's why we focus on treating the person - not just his or her illness. Our treatment teams work closely with patients and their families to understand the issues they are facing and create an individualized treatment plan, which draws upon the skills of a physician-led team of clinical professionals to address the patient's individual needs. The services we offer include: |
 |
Adult Services: Tailored to the needs of adults ages 18 and older, this program provides crisis stabilization, relapse prevention and rehabilitation for a wide array of psychiatric conditions. Programming offers both biologically and insight-oriented treatment interventions. Patients benefit from individual and group psychotherapy, educational and recreational activities designed to allow the patient to return home as soon as possible.
Adolescent Services: This program takes a comprehensive approach to helping adolescents ages 12 to 18 develop coping skills to aid in the difficult transition from childhood to adulthood. Families are actively involved in the treatment program, enabling the adolescent to successfully return to the home and school settings. Conditions addressed include depression, self-destructive behaviors, behavioral and impulse control problems as well as situational crises unique to adolescents. Programming includes individual and group therapies, skills development, school and recreational therapies. Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital provides on-site school services as well as a gymnasium.
Children's Services: Separate programming is offered for
younger children ages five to 12 who experience emotional or behavioral problems such as hyperactivity, aggression, withdrawal, lack of impulse control or severe non-compliance with age-appropriate activities of daily living. This program uses individual and play therapy, psychological testing, family therapy, educational programming and recreational and art therapies to create a safe and nurturing environment in which children can develop appropriate behavioral patterns.
